JUAN CARLOS NAVARRO

Juan Carlos Navarro Sanchez, is an Mexican visual artist, born in Guadalajara city, Jalisco, on December the 22nd, 1975. Since he was a child, he showed his outstanding ability to draw and paint. Some of the techniques he developed during adolescence were pastel painting, charcoal painting, acrylic, and oil. At the moment, he has developed a self-taught style that focuses on mixing these techniques, showcasing his work, which throughout his artistic career denotes his creative spirit. The artist expresses himself in Kinetic Sonorous Image, drawing on his academic preparation in engineering and architecture, influenced by cubism projected onto linen cloths. With the relevance of light, figure, and space, these elements together create a visual symphony that evokes concrete rhythms—the saxophone, piano, percussions, and other air and string instruments. Each work in this collection alludes to the imaginary landscapes of jazz in legendary North American cities. He captures the beauty of life and the vital energy present in each branch, leaf, root, or creature of the animal world.

More importantly, he conveys spiritual awakening rooted in contemplation. Each figure reveals the journey inward, emphasizing that life is interconnected with the whole. Navarro’s creations transport viewers to an ethereal, hallucinatory, and creative universe—a fusion of matter and spirit, making the invisible tangible. His art expresses unity, completeness, and eternity. His works have been exhibited nationally and internationally, with over 40 collective exhibitions and more than 20 individual showcases. Of the 30+ exhibitions held across Mexico, his contributions in Jalisco, particularly Guadalajara and Internationally, his works have been displayed in California, New York, Houston, McAllen, London, Edinburgh, and prominently in Paris, France, in 2015.
