florentino

Florentino is a self-taught artist and proud native of Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas. In his youth, he found solace and expression in graffiti art, immersing himself in the streets of his community. However, at just 16 years old, What started as a simple hobby quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion, driving him to pursue a professional career as an artist. Florentino was guided to channel his talents into a more constructive path—a turning point that planted the seeds for his future. It wasn’t until the age of 23 that Florentino fully embraced his artistic calling. The encouragement of friends and strangers, paired with the demand for his work through commissions and sales, revealed the potential for art to not only express his soul but also sustain him financially. Over time, what started as a hobby transformed into a thriving career—a testament to the power of resilience, passion, and self-belief. Florentino’s signature are seen as striking distortions, achieved through the use of palette knives and squeegees. He skillfully adds a touch of “broken” beauty to his pieces, blending chaos with elegance. Inspired by the Renaissance and medieval eras, his creations reflect a deep exploration of emotions, drawing from moments and feelings that ignite his imagination. Inspired by the timeless legacy of artists like Van Gogh, He aspires to leave a mark on the world that transcends generations to be remembered as an artist and a storyteller of his time.
